Alline Shoemake, age 62 of Dahlonega, GA passed away February 4, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness. Alline was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and a member of Cavender Creek Baptist Church. She was retired from Fieldale Farms. Alline was a loving sister and aunt who enjoyed spending time at Dick's Creek with her family. The daughter of the late John Henry and Roberta White Garrett, Alline is also preceded in death by her brothers, Lonnie and Ronnie Garrett. She is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Charles Hyatt, Laurens, SC, Brenda and Tommy McElduff, Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Wanda Woody and Rhonda Gail Garrett, Dahlonega, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie Dean and Brenda Garrett, Andrews, NC; brothers, Richard "Slick Rick" Garrett, Laurens, SC, Johnny Lee Garrett, Fred Allen Garrett, Gary Wayne Garrett; and aunt and uncle, Martha and Herman McDonald all of Dahlonega, GA. Numerous, numerous nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives also survive. A memorial service for Alline is scheduled for 4 PM Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 2 PM until 4 PM Saturday, February 8, 2014.
