Alton Gilstrap, age 76, of Murrayville, GA, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at Friendship Health and Rehab in White County.

Alton was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.

Alton was the son of the late Ellick Gilstrap and Ruby Abercrombie Gilstrap.

He is survived by a large number of cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services for Alton are scheduled for 1 PM Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega, GA.


The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 3 PM until 9 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until 1 PM.
