Mrs. Amy Nicole Shott Hawkins, age 49, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Amy was born in Beckley, West Virginia, on January 30, 1977. She was a woman of faith and of the Baptist tradition who had given her life to Christ. Amy loved the Word of God and made it a part of her daily life, faithfully reading her Bible and finding strength, comfort, and hope in its pages.

Amy understood that life in this fallen world is not always fair and that we all face struggles that are difficult to understand. Yet her faith pointed beyond the brokenness of this world to the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Her story reminds us that even in the midst of sorrow and tragedy, Christ remains faithful. We are not defined by our hardest moments, but by the grace and love of God. As Scripture tells us, “We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.” (Romans 8:37)

Amy leaves behind a family who loved her dearly and whose lives were touched by hers. She is survived by her husband, Tony Hawkins of Cleveland; her children, Tara Juliet Banks of Dahlonega and Debra Elaine Jett of Dawsonville; her father, Kent W. Shott of Clarksville; her mother, Deborah Berry of Gainesville; her brother, James William Jasper Berry; her beloved granddaughters, Auriella Sorrells and Sofia Delvalle; her grandson, Caleb Hurley; her uncle, Mark Shott, West Virginia; her uncle, Tony Ralston; and her aunts, Patsy Holland and Nancy Hood also, an extended family of cousins, friends, and other relatives.

Those who knew Amy will remember her for the life she lived, the people she loved, and the faith she held. There is victory in Christ; not because this world is without pain, but because Christ has overcome the world.

Amy's life and memory will remain in the hearts of her family and friends, and those who loved her can take comfort in the hope that is found in Jesus Christ.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
