Anna Marie
Koch
August 5, 1952 – March 16, 2026
Anna Marie "Nana" Koch, age 73, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026.
Anna was born on August 5, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Albert Fashingbauer and Nora Costello Fashingbauer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Koch III, and her siblings, Albert Fashingbauer and Kathy Keating.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Lisa Ochal (Bob) of Oak Forest, Illinois; Timothy Koch (Dorothy) of Knox, Indiana; Sara Koch of Dahlonega; and Amy Mendoza (Rocky) of Dahlonega. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Stephanie (Lenny), Nicolette (Peter), Amanda (Hunter), Arica, Alyssa, Mario, Brandon, Camdyn, Mathieu, Melanie, Damien, Rocky Jr., and Lilly, as well as a cherished great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Michael Fashingbauer, Judith Garrity, and Cynthia Kilroy.
Anna was truly a jack of all trades. She was a talented seamstress, an avid gardener, and found joy in music, books, and crossword puzzles. Above all, she loved her family deeply. Known for her strong spirit and individuality, Anna was unapologetically herself and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes—and in her own humorous words, "to obtain her smoking hot body"—she will be cremated. No public services will be held.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
