Annie Alinda Chambers Christian, age 57, of Dahlonega, GA died Friday, January 17, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA following an extended illness. Annie was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church in White County. Annie had a strong faith in God and loved to help and take care of others. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Nell Gearin Chambers. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Christian, Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Carolyn Chambers, Dahlonega, GA; father, R.B. Chambers, Dahlonega, GA; brother, Roger Chambers, Dawsonville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Johnny Chester, Dawsonville, GA; granddaughter, Kadence Davis; niece, Lisa Chester; nephew, Stacy and Teresa Chester and family. A number of other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Annie are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, January 20, 2014 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church in White County. Rev. Joe Vernon and Rev. Edward Chambers will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 12 Noon until 9 PM and again on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 9 AM until 1 PM.
