Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Richard Whitehead, Carnesville; sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Bonita West, Clermont, and Rick and Linda West, Jasper; sister Sara Lou Milton, Ellijay; grandchildren Daneka West, Chris Savage, and Kelsey Savage; great-grandson Carson Savage; sisters-in-law Judy Lingerfelt, and Reita Snipes; brother-in-law and sister-in law Mickey and Shirley Calhoun; nieces and nephews Lori and Billy Brooksher, Sheri and Mark Pruitt and Andy and Joan Milton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, May 31, 2019 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.  The Rev. Mickey Wheeler and the Rev. Roger Shadburn will officiate.  She will be laid to rest in Nimblewill Baptist Church Cemetery next to her beloved husband.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their thanks to the Tanglewood Staff and Agape Hospice for their care of Athie.  Her beloved sister-in-law Reita was a faithful caregiver and companion to Athie until the end of her life.  We look forward to being with Athie again when we all get home.
