Barbara Anderson, age 92, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025. She was born on February 13, 1932, in Murrayville, Georgia, to the late Benjamin Franklin Abercrombie and Fannie Pearl Stephens Abercrombie. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved son, Neal Anderson, and her siblings Frankie Abercrombie, Lowell Abercrombie (Celma), Madge Abercrombie, and Betty Lou Fields (Bobby).

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 73 years, Marvin Anderson; loving sons Mark Anderson (Donna) and Clark Anderson (Ronna); daughter-in-law Patti Anderson; grandchildren Zack Anderson, Lauren Torres, Mallory Anderson, Sara Beth Rose (Dustin), Cara Anne Anderson, Erica Anderson, Kyle Anderson (Angela); and adored great-grandchildren Laney Anderson, Andi Anderson, Mason Torres, Allie Torres, Wyatt Torres, Liam Torres, Dylan Rose, Cora Lynn Anderson, and Austin Fortner. She is also survived by nephews and nieces Keith Anderson (Donna), Kenneth Abercrombie (June), Curtis Abercrombie (Lisa), Jene Fields, and Dana Hilley (Byron).

Barbara's faith was central to her life, and she was a dedicated member of Cavender Creek Baptist Church, where she was a charter member of the Goodwill Circle and an active participant in the bake and sew club. She owned and operated "Dahlonega Fabrics" for many years, sharing her passion for quilting and sewing with the community. Barbara's deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was evident to all who knew her. She exemplified kindness and grace, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Cavender Creek Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Stephen Adams and Rev. Terry Head. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
