Mrs. Barbara Jean Butler, age 77, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020.

Mrs. Butler was born on April 25, 1943 in Lumpkin County. She was preceded in death by her father Homer Patterson, her sister Linda Harkins, and her brother Charles Patterson. Mrs. Butler was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading books and spending time with her Jack Russell, "Rusty".

Survivors include her children Paula McKee, Gainesville, Sheryl Berry (Ricky Thornton), Dahlonega, and Dorsey Sullens, Jr., Gainesville; mom Estelle Patterson, Dahlonega; brother Kenneth Patterson, Oakwood; friend Earl Butler, Gainesville; sisters Shirley Davis, Dahlonega, Mildred Stowers, Murrayville, and Diane Savage, Lula; brother Kermit Patterson, Dahlonega; sisters and brothers-in-law Chris and Don Head, and Debra and Bill Evans, Dahlonega; grandchildren Hannah McKee, Shannon Mathis, Mitchell Berry and Jonathan Whithead; great-grandchildren Shana Lynn Mathis, Adam Mathis, and Bailey Berry; great-great-grandchild Shaylynn Mathis; best friend Mark Almond; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service for Barbara is scheduled for 6:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2020 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.
