Benny "Pickle" Shubert, age 65, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on October 19, 2025. Pickle was born on June 13, 1960, in Hall County to the late Robert Shubert and the late Dorthea O'Kelly Sullens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy and Jimmy Shubert.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Rhdonna Shubert of Dahlonega; children, Stevie Dan Ballard (Jennifer) of Murrayville, Kyle Shubert (Julianne) of Dahlonega, and Parker Shubert of Dahlonega; brothers, Gene Shubert and Terry Shubert; and grandchildren, Zoie Ballard, Jamo Ballard, and Bella Shubert. He is also survived by his special friend and "hunting buddy," Calos Etris, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pickle was as laid-back as they come—"cool as a cucumber." He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors. A loving husband, father, and friend, Pickle was known for his easygoing nature and good humor. He enjoyed driving an 18-wheeler and racing go-karts, and he lived life on his own terms, always with a smile.

It was Pickle's wish to be cremated. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
