Mrs. Betty Jean Head, age 83, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on October 29, 2025. Betty was born on May 26, 1942, to the late Edgar and Mary Grizzle.

A devoted Christian, Betty was a faithful member of Yahoola Baptist Church for 66 years. Her greatest joys in life were her family and her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Verlyn Head, and her brothers, E.L. Grizzle and Gerald Grizzle.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Daniel Reeves; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Staci Head; grandchildren, Katie (Cory) Buice, Joseph (Sarah Grace) Head, and Anna Head. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kris Butler and Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Yahoola Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Savage officiating.
