Betty Sue Rucker, age 67, a long-time resident of Dahlonega, GA passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2017.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. You could always find her out on her porch greeting everyone who walked by.

She was the daughter of the late Luther and Jeanette Tabor. She is also preceded in death by her infant daughter; Cherie Roberta Jarrells; daughter-in-law, Teresa Rucker; and brother, Luther Tabor

Betty is survived by her loving special friend, Robert Jarrells; son, Anthony "Tony" O'Neal Rucker, Gainesville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Garnett O'Neal and Davada Sullens Rucker, Dahlonega, GA, Danny O'Neal and Daphine Rucker, Gillsville, GA; son and his fiancée, Robert Lee Jarrells III and Melissa Smallwood, Dahlonega, GA; daughter-in-law, April Star Adams sisters, Blanche Bush, Commerce, GA, Roberta Wilson, Toccoa, GA, and Marion Blake, Commerce, GA. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Betty are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday January 21, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. John Paul Webb and Rev. Susie Webb will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Friday January 20, 2017 from 6 PM until 9 PM and again on Saturday January 21, 2017 from 10 AM until time of service.
