Mrs. Bobbie Jean Self, age 84, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on October 13, 2025. She was born on May 27, 1941, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to the late Orville Stanley and the late Ella Mae Fields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Self, and her son-in-law, Eddie Clarke.

Bobbie is survived by her children, Clyde (Jayne) Self of Flowery Branch and Mary Clarke of Dahlonega; and her beloved grandchildren, Clyde (Buddy) Self, Jaye Anna Self, Elyza Self, Hanna-Faith Clarke, and Sean-Conner Clarke. Numerous other family members and friends also survive.

The youngest of ten children, Bobbie was known for her warm smile, her love of gardening, and her famous home-cooked meals. Her hospitality and kindness touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed by her presence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Etowah Baptist Church in Dawsonville. The Rev. Clyde Self will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM until the service hour.
