Mr. Bobby Chaffin, age 68, of Dahlonega passed away June 19, 2020. Bobby was born on June 11, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia to Margaret Waters Chaffin and the late Eddie Andrew Chaffin. He was a hard working man but he always set aside plenty of time so he could make fond memories with all of his children and grandchildren. Some of those precious memories were made under the hood of a car, and many others were made near a body of water - rod and reel in hand. Bobby was also quite the "Picker", so if you have frequented many auctions in North Georgia, chances are you have met Bobby a time or two.

In addition to his father, Bobby is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Ward, and brother, Lee Chaffin.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy Chaffin; children, Tracy (John) Ayers, David Elliot, Jay (Anna) Kile, Jeannie (Rodney) Jinks, Caroline (Doug) Tuckerman, Bobby Powell, Joanna (Brian) Martin, Denise Chaffin, and Bridget (Daniel) Ingram; siblings, Wanetta Poss, Elaine Chatham, and Gene Chaffin. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.

Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Kris Butler will officiate.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
