Mr. Bobby Tritt, age 80, of Dahlonega, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024.  Bobby was born in Lumpkin County on August 24, 1943, to the late Grady Tritt and Mona Elizabeth Ralston Tritt.

Bobby enjoyed NASCAR, a thrill he got to experience firsthand through the NASCAR Driving Experience. Yet, his greatest joy was found in his role as "Pa," spending cherished time with his family and grandchildren.  Bobby also had a special connection to Alaska, where he had a second home. Each year, he eagerly traveled there to hunt and fish for salmon. His neighbors in Alaska warmly welcomed him back each season, making him feel truly at home in the vast, beautiful landscapes he loved. Bobby was a dedicated member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Suches, GA. He was also a member of Hickory Flat Masonic Lodge #205 in Cherokee County.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wives Marie Rice Tritt and Sandra Delores Lee Tritt; daughter Shancy Tritt; great-grandson Caleb Duchaine.

Survivors include his long time love and life partner, Peggy Liggett of Dahlonega; children Preston (Linda) Tritt of Dahlonega, Tammy (Steve) Duchaine of Monticello, GA, Gerald (Dawn) Tritt of Roanoke, AL, Rebecca Huff of Cumming and Robert Huff of Cumming; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers Tony Tritt (Ruthie), Dean Tritt, Marvin (Susie) Tritt, Tommy (Kim) Tritt; and sister Teresa Tritt.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in the Chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Ware, the Rev. Trammel Rhodes, the Rev. Steve Rhoten, and the Rev. William Phillips.  Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (Hill Church) in Suches.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the funeral home.
