Mr. Bobby Whatley, age 64, of Dahlonega passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019.

Bobby was born in Atlanta, GA on December 4, 1955 to the late William Claude and Blanche Moore Whatley.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother William Claude Whatley, Jr.  Bobby worked at The University of North Georgia.  He loved his job and in 2018 he received the distinguished North Star Award from the college. Bobby was a happy-go-lucky man, full of life and willing to help anyone he could.  He will forever be remembered for telling his stories, though sometimes embellished in order to see you smile.  Bobby was a caretaker to all.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law Susan and Brian Prosise, Flowery Branch; nephews and nieces Jonathan and Lisa Culver, Buford, Ashley Culver, Cumming, Cody Culver, Flowery Branch, and Chanece Turner, Roswell; great nephew Mason Culver; great niece Jordan Culver.

A celebration of Bobby's life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with a reception to follow the celebration of his life.  Friends are asked to come ready to share their story of their friendship with Bobby at the celebration.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
