Carlene King Kimmel, age 73, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega. Carlene was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and was a member of Dahlonega Baptist Church. She worked at Timken in Dahlonega for a number of years. Carlene was the daughter of the late Henry Carlton King Sr. and Connie Victoria Grizzle King. She is survived by her children, Teri Kimmel; Jay and Holly Kimmel, Jeffrey and Shannon Kimmel; brothers and sister-in-law, Tony King, Larry and Dianne King; grandchildren, Amber Allison, Tiara Gross and Jeremy Smith, Cassidy Kimmel, Tyler Chamblee, and Caroline Kimmel; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Allison, Cindy Allison, Shawn Smith, Abel Smith, Austin Smith, and Aeryn Smith, all of Dahlonega, GA. Numerous other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Carlene are scheduled for 11 AM Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA. Rev. Bill Hutcheson and Rev. C. Neal Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 6 PM until 9 PM, all day on Thursday, and again on Friday until time of service.
