Carolyn Laverne Peters, age 68, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away on April 28, 2025. Born on September 12, 1956, in Jackson County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Quillian Wade and the late Montine Stowe Wade.

Carolyn was a woman of great strength and resilience. After being disabled in a car accident many years ago, she still managed to raise her three children on her own—a true testament to her toughness and unwavering love for her family. She had a heart of gold, a quick sense of humor, and a deep love for the Lord. Carolyn found great joy in attending church and always made her faith a guiding light in her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Billy Joe Hardy, and precious granddaughter, Hannah Bender.

She is survived by her daughters Carol Hardy, Kathy Prather (Ronnie), and Melinda Price (Michael); her siblings Mildred Gibson, Deloris Cates, Blanche Wade, Buddy Wade, and Mozelle Simpson; grandchildren Austin Bender (Dayla), Sarah Bender, Lee Long, David Chambers, Dylan Prather (Dixie), and R.J. Prather; and great-grandchildren Braylee Bender, Alina Bender, and Jasper Prather.

Carolyn's memory will live on through the love she poured into her family and the faith she carried throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In accordance with her wishes, Carolyn will be cremated.
