Mrs. Carolyn Waters, age 74, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019.

Mrs. Waters was born in Tate, GA on July 21, 1944.  She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Waters, parents Walter Roscoe and Emma Leora Nix Collett, brother Frank 'Spud' Collett, son-in-law Ricky O'Neal, and grandson Douglas Lacy.  Mrs. Waters was kindhearted and giving.  She loved to farm, garden, and can her fresh vegetables.  Mrs. Waters was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children Becky and Wendell Howard, Ball Ground, Brenda O'Neal, McCaysville, David 'Doodle' Dodd, Ball Ground, Randy Dodd, Jasper, and Stacy Teague and fiancé Tony McDuffie, Cleveland; step-children Lawana Bryan, Oakwood; Gina and Scott Masters, Gainesville, sister and brother in law Teresa and Jerry Wofford, Jasper; brother Tonie Collett, N.C.; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2019 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.  The Rev. Jason Hamby will officiate.  Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
