Mr. Cary Stuart Cathey, age 61, of Dahlonega passed away Monday, August 20, 2018.

Cary was born in New Orleans, LA on January 7, 1957 to the late James Everett and Mary Helen Hartman Cathey. He loved football and was an avid Atlanta Falcons fan.  Cary loved music and Civil War history.  He lived a quiet and simple life and he was a caring soul. Cary was a member of the Georgia Mountains Unitarian Universalist Church.

Survivors include his sister and brother in law Kitty Cathey and John Larry Carney and sister Andrea Cathey.

Cary's wishes were to be cremated and a private interment will be held at a later date.
