Mrs. Cassandra Fortner, age 78, of Dahlonega passed away, Saturday, December 26, 2020.

Mrs. Fortner was born in Piedmont, AL on December 9, 1942 to the late Charles and Opal Westbrook Mueller.  She was retired from the Gwinnett Food Umbrella.  Mrs. Fortner was a loving mother who adored her family.  Singing at church, laughing, and dancing were some of the things she loved most.  She attended 12 Stone Church in Lawrenceville.

Survivors include her daughters Lynn Pelatt, Buford, and Deanna Rutter (Bill), Snellville; grandchildren, who called her "Granny", Britin Thomas, Cameron Verlander, and Callyne Verlander; great-grandchildren Delaine Verlander, and Oaklynn Verlander; brothers Rev. Mickey Mueller(Teresa), and Ron Mueller; and sisters Barbara Russell, and Julia Keaton (Al).

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM CT, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden, AL.  The Rev. Mickey Mueller will officiate.
