Cathleen Patricia Hannan passed away on September 1, 2023, in Dahlonega, Georgia. She was born on October 20, 1967, in White Plains, New York. She was 55 years old, relishing that age only for the senior discounts.

Cathleen is survived by her beloved children – her daughter, Maya Bouchet of Los Angeles, California and her son, Emory Badger, of Oregon City, Oregon. She is also survived by her four brothers, one sister, four nieces, five nephews, and an adorable Basset Hound "granddog" named Franklin.

Cathleen was captivated by the French language and culture at a young age which carried through the rest of her life. She moved to Paris after graduating from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She appreciated art, architecture, French movies, music, and cooking. Some years later, Cathleen moved back to the United States, and later earned a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English as a Second Language also from the University of Southern California. She was a poet, writer, teacher, tutor, and a mother. She also took classes in landscape architecture due to a love of plants and was known to have the greenest thumb of anyone. She considered herself eccentric with a vivid memory resulting in her feeling others' and her own past hurts deeper than the average person. She found great joy in comedy, art, French film, nature, and spending time with her family.

It was Cathleen's wish to be cremated. No public services are being held at this time.
