Mrs. Cathy Pruitt Beck, age 70, of Dahlonega, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025.

Cathy was born on May 4, 1955, to Eva Nell Stover Pruitt and the late Edward Pruitt. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Paige Beck.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Cathy will forever be remembered for her unwavering love for her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Lamar Beck of Dahlonega; children, Casey Beck of Dahlonega, Rhonda (Michael) Gilbert of Jefferson, and David (Sheila) Beck of Commerce; grandchildren, Devin Gooch, Brooke (Cameron) King, and Mia Beck; and great-grandchildren, Adalynn King and Kaison King. She is also survived by her mother, Eva Nell Stover Pruitt; siblings, Peggy (Arlen) Garrett, Penny Abernathy, Eddie Pruitt, Ernie (Melissa) Pruitt, and Katie Lunsford; mother-in-law, Jean Beck; brother-in-law, Larry Beck (Pat Tooley); sisters-in-law, Lynn (Ben) Mincey and Lana Pruitt (David Dowdle); along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Cathy had a love for music of all kinds, found beauty in flowers, and enjoyed capturing moments through photography. She was proud of the United States military and dedicated many years of service as the mail clerk at Camp Frank D. Merrill.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2025, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Derrick Pruitt and the Rev. Kris Butler will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Suches. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
