Charles "Joe" Mosie Waters, age 79, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Friday May 13, 2016.

Joe retired from Burlington at 62 after 44 years of working there because he loved go-karts, but mostly he loved his go-karting friends.

Joe was the son of the late Ed and Lela Chester Waters and was also preceded in death by brothers, Clayton Waters, Kenneth Waters, and Carlton Waters; sisters, Myral Frasure and Opal Southern; and granddaughter, Roxie Waters.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Waters; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Sheba Waters, Rodney and Stacie Waters; brothers, Ralph Waters and Wade Waters; sister, Susie Kinnard; grandchildren, Stacia and Brent Pierce, Kate and Max Turner; great-grandchildren Lexi and Summer Pierce all of Dahlonega, GA.

Funeral services for Joe are scheduled for 11 AM Monday May 16, 2016 in the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Ken Anderson, and Rev. Kris Butler will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home on Saturday May 14, 2016 from 5 PM to 9 PM, Sunday May 15, 2016 from 5 PM to 9 PM and again on Monday May 16, from 10 AM until time of service.
