Mr. Chip Housley, age 63, of Dahlonega, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Chip was born in Hall County on April 24, 1960, to the late Arthur "Tarzan" and Faye Housley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special aunt, Geneva "Neva" Betzold.

Chip was a man who embraced the simple joys of life, finding his greatest happiness in the great outdoors. Born with an adventurous spirit, he developed a profound love for hunting and spent countless hours immersed in the beauty of nature. Chip was a true go-getter, a man of action who never allowed himself to sit idly by when there was work to be done or adventures to be had.

Surviving Chip is his daughter, Laura Wilson of Murrayville, and his step-son Zach Sosebee, and daughter-in-law Shanna of Dahlonega, sister Judy Armstrong, and nephew Joseph Armstrong. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren Aubrey, Jake, Coltyn, Katie, Ava, Zaedyn, and Webb who were the light of his life.

Funeral services to celebrate Chip's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 29, 2023, at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate the service, and interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
