Obituary

Mrs. Clara Nell Fuller, age 91, of Murrayville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Mrs. Fuller was born on May 12, 1934, to the late Will and Willie Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Willard Fuller; her son, Bobby Fuller; great-granddaughter, Mary Grace Fuller; and her siblings, Tex Jones, Mac Kelm, Thay Jones, and Gertrude Elliott.

Clara Nell was the very definition of a devoted pastor's wife, faithfully walking beside her husband through 70 years of marriage and ministry. Together, they served the Lord and their community with humility, grace, and unwavering faith. She was a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished "Nanny" whose gentle spirit and warm hugs will be dearly missed.

She was the last surviving charter member of Murrayville Baptist Church, where her life of faith was evident in both word and deed. Whether through her quiet prayers, her steady encouragement, or her beautiful voice singing beloved hymns like "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," Clara Nell shared her love for the Lord with everyone around her.

A true homemaker at heart, she had a special gift for making people feel welcome and cared for. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, and she could prepare a warm meal at a moment's notice for family, friends, or anyone in need. There was always a seat at her table and room in her home. Fittingly, one of her final meals just weeks before her passing was her homemade chicken and dumplings, a simple dish that perfectly reflected her warmth and love. Clara Nell also lovingly crocheted blankets for her family, each stitch made with care, gifts that will continue to wrap her loved ones in warmth, just as her love will, for years to come.

More than anything, Clara Nell will be remembered for her deep love for her family and her open-hearted kindness to her community. Her legacy lives on in the lives she nurtured, the faith she modeled, and the countless people who were blessed to call her Mama, Nanny, sister, or friend.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Carolyn, Jack and Nancy, Linda, Rex and Terrie; grandchildren, Spence and Tracy, Jason and Julie, Leslie and Shelli, Lance and Gretchen, Weston and Leann, Rebecca, Lydia, Will and Carmen and Larissa and Zach; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Emma, Kaylee and Ben, Seth and Ashlyn, Cassidy, Joseph, Lacey, Jim Sidney and MaryAnn, Bethany and Kevin, Lily, Lesley Anne, Eli, Sarah, Emmett, Fern, Wes, Emily, Joshua, Caroline, Colby, Aliah, Judd, Allie, Ellie, Annie, Waylon, Walt, Everett, Jackson, Camryn, Callie, and boy Fuller in April; her siblings Thelma Helton, Ruth Martin; sister-in-law Janice Jones; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, January 29, 2026, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. Her Grandsons, the Rev. Spence Fuller, the Rev. Jason Fuller, the Rev. Les Fuller, the Rev. Lance Fuller, and the Rev. Will Fuller, will officiate. Interment will follow in Murrayville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
