Mr. Claude Donald Moore, age 84, of Dahlonega, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022.

Mr. Moore was born in Habersham County on June 9, 1938, to the late Virgil and Mae Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Ricky McDonald; son-in-law Dwayne Lewallen; sisters Inez McGahee, Louise Ivester, Fannie Moore; and brother Rev. J.C. Moore. Claude worked for more than thirty years and retired from Ethicon. He loved to play his guitar and sing along with his favorites, George Jones and Conway Twitty. Claude was a loving husband, father, and "Papa." His greatest pastime was hunting and fishing, competing with his bride for the biggest trophy. From a floater on the dance floor to the "sexiest legs" in Maysville, Ga award, Claude Moore will never be forgotten.

Survivors include his loving wife and hunting partner Carolyn Moore; son Jerry Moore (Wanda); daughters Donna Holley (Todd) and Elizabeth Flanagan (James); brothers Randolph Moore and Charlie Moore; sister Velma Moore; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday and Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
