Rev. Clyde Peck, age 95, of Gainesville, GA died Thursday, October 3, 2013. Rev. Peck was a lifelong resident of Hall County. He was a former accountant for JD Jewell and Co., and a former Pastor of Etowah Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Murrayville Masonic Lodge # 30 F & AM, and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. The son of the late Ferd and Florence Sears Peck, Clyde was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Rev. Peck is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Teresa Peck; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Paul Holman all of Gainesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Harrison and Sue Peck, Murrayville, GA; grandchildren, Melissa and Jim Drury, Jonathan and Jenni Holman, and Andrew and Matthew Peck; great grandchildren, Nathan, Noah, Micah, and Ava Holman. A graveside service for Rev. Peck is scheduled for 4 PM Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County. Paul Holman will officiate. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 6 PM until 8 PM on Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5 from 2 PM until time of service.
