Daro Gene Miller, 65, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, after battling a hard fight with cancer. Daro was born December 9, 1957, in Ravenna, Ohio.

After serving in the Navy, he settled down with his family. He had recently moved to Dahlonega from Dawsonville. A loving husband and a supportive father, he loved living life, and his passion for the things he loved was evident. He possessed a great passion for automobiles, particularly classic cars, and enjoyed restoring them in his free time. The only thing he loved more was his three grandchildren.

Surviving are his Son and Daughter in law, Brian James and Jordan Grantham Miller, Cumming, GA; Grandsons Chandler Grantham, Raiden Marshall, and Rory Everett Miller; Fiancée, Cathy L. McLendon, Dahlonega, GA; Father, Richard H. (Patricia) Miller, Vienna, OH; Sisters, Stacey (Joel) Phipps, Vienna, OH; Diana (Brant) Osborn, Jacksonville, FL; Mother, Judy (Dennis) Rector, Ephrata, WA; Mother-in-law, Shirley Mae (James) Marshall, Vienna, OH; Sisters-in-law, Barbara (Howard) Edwards, Fowler, OH; Sally (Ed) Thompson, Bonaire, GA; Laura (Larry) LoVerme, Cortland, OH; Bonnie (Joe) Isaac, Pulaski, PA. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Mary Judith Miller; father Dennis Rector; mother, Patricia Miller; and sister, Holly Clausing.

A visitation will be held at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Memorial services will be held at a later date in both GA and OH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, Lung Transplant Foundation, American Veterans, or the American Cancer Society.
