Dave
Belflower
August 16, 1958 – January 19, 2026
Dave Belflower, age 67, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on January 19, 2026.
Dave was born on August 16, 1958, in Pittsburg, California, to the late Dave Belflower and the late Joaline Reynolds Belflower.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lisa Belflower of Dahlonega; his children, Gideon (Megan) Belflower of Texas and Amanda (Patrick) Johnson of Dahlonega; his siblings, Cynthia Belflower Dowdy and Steven (Susan) Belflower; and his cherished grandchildren, Adeline Belflower, Islay Belflower, and Sabrina Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
Above all else, Dave was a devoted family man. He understood the value of hard work and sacrifice and lived both daily, always providing for and protecting the people he loved. His family will forever be grateful for the life he built for them through determination, grit, and love.
Dave was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved hunting, fishing, listening to music, and anything John Wayne. The woods were his church. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing alongside his best friend Lewis Sullens and Sharon Bruce, sharing countless days outdoors and a bond rooted in friendship. Just as meaningful to Dave was the time he spent with Josh, Cherri, and Lee Goodman—moments he truly cherished and for which he found no substitute. He hunted and fished not only for sport, but to provide for his family—doing whatever was necessary. Once, when he had no ammunition, Dave hunted with rocks and stones, managing to bring home enough to feed a family of four. It was no surprise he earned the nickname "Dead Eye Dave" for his remarkable aim.
Dave loved trucking, though he hated being away from home. Anyone who knew him understood that if Dave was being mean to you, it meant he loved you—that was his love language. He was honest to a fault, fiercely loyal, and deeply genuine.
His last words were fittingly, "Damn dog," spoken to his beloved Cane Corso, Cosmo.
Dave will be cremated, and a celebration of life with family and friends will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., weather permitting.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to know and love him.
