Mr. Robert David Norrell, age 58, of Dahlonega passed away suddenly Sunday, October 31, 2021. A man of hard work and family, he will be lovingly remembered by us all.

David was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was born to the late Jewell and Mildred Norrell of Dahlonega. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Edward Norrell and sister Linda Myers.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Connie Norrell; son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Sonja Norrell, all of Dahlonega; stepdaughter Casey Posten, Murrayville; and stepson and daughter-in-law Toby and Janet Posten, Toccoa. He was a beloved "Papa" to Leilah Garrett "his pride and joy", Landon Garrett "wormy", and Kolten Norrell "tater". He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Charles Gilstrap, Cleveland, and brother and sister-in-law Frank and Darlene Norrell, Tennessee.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, November 5, 2021, at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Andy Caldwell and the Rev. Kenneth Armstrong will officiate. Interment will follow in Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
