Mr. David L. Pelfrey, age 68, of Dahlonega passed away September 17, 2021. He was born in Atlanta on December 02, 1952, to the late Mr. Harold and Margie Harris Pelfrey.

Mr. Pelfrey spent many faithful years working for Cobb County until he reached his time of retirement. David loved the Lord with all of his heart. He cherished attending Shoal Creek Baptist Church with his family, and he especially loved their Men's Ministry Breakfast. Spending time with his Golden Retriever, Bella, was one of his favorite pastimes. Going to the river, traveling, and woodworking were also enjoyments in his life. However, sharing his love with his wife and grandchildren, going to the grandchildren's ball games, and hearing them call him "Papa" was where he found the most pleasure.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pelfrey was preceded in death by his brother James Pelfrey.

He is survived by his wife Cynthia Pelfrey, Dahlonega; stepchildren Jaime (Reesa) Shedd, Kelly Byron, and Autumn (Josh) Chatham, all of Dahlonega; grandchildren Katelyn, Alexys, Sadie, Gunner, and Gaines; sister Donna Meyers, Missouri; and nieces Krista Noel, and Stacey Brown.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service time.
