Dennis Gary Ridley passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, peacefully at his residence surrounded by the girls he loved. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, where his family lived for many generations. Dennis served his country in the Army and later graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Agriculture. Dennis had a lifelong love of playing and listening to music, which he passed along to his daughters and granddaughters. For many years he played music with his family and friends.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vikki Lail Ridley and his daughters Amanda (Derek) Smith and Megan (Jamie) Ridley and grandchildren (Ailey, Zoe and Elijah). He also leaves behind his sisters Juanita (Willard) Barrett, Elaine Wimpy, and Gaye (Tim) Phillips and his brother Curt (Shelia) Ridley and sister-in-law Sue Ridley as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dennis was proceeded in death by his parents, Ralph Edward Ridley and Dorothy Turner Ridley and his sister Wilda Ridley, brothers Lamar Ridley and Ronald Ridley and brother-in-law Charles Wimpy.

Dennis was cremated as to his wishes, and the family intends to have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
