Donald D. Etter, age 91, passed away on August 5, 2026, in Dahlonega, Georgia. Don was born on October 24, 1934, in Superior, Nebraska, to the late Joseph and Crystal Etter. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers; Joseph "Bud" Etter, Larry Etter, and Melvin "Sonny" Etter; his daughter Denise “Patty” Etter-Collins; his sons, Donald H. Etter and Jeffrey Etter; his grandson, Travis Cosby, and great-great-grandson Houstin Kidd.

Don is survived by his wife, Pauline Etter; his sister, Alice Etter; his grandsons Justin Spence and Jessie Spence; his granddaughters, Amber Etter and Ashley Etter; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Don was an owner and operator and truck driver who loved to travel and was also a U.S. Army Veteran. Throughout his life, he enjoyed river rafting, fishing, hunting, bowling, and playing chess and basketball. After retirement, Don and Pauline moved from Georgia to Nebraska to Circle E Farm, where he became active and engaged with the farming community. He loved spending time with family and sharing stories about his life.

Don is incredibly loved and will be sorely missed.

In keeping with Don's wishes, he will be cremated. No public services will be held at this time.
