Donald Ray Miller, age 69, of Dahlonega, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Mr. Miller was born in Centralia, IL on August 15, 1948 to the late Everett and Mildred Farthing Miller. He served honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam. Mr. Miller served 3 different tours earning a purple heart each time.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Alford Miller, Dahlonega; son and daughter in law William and Debbie Miller, Nevada; son Donavon Miller, New York;  stepson and step daughter in law Jamey and Jodi Abercrombie, Gainesville; stepson Jason Abercrombie, Gainesville; Justin Abercrombie, Acworth; mother in law Edith Alford, Dahlonega; sisters Sharon Denile, New Mexico; Carol Vogel, Arizona; brothers Gerald Miller and Richard Miller both of Arizona; grandchildren Russell Miller; Dillion Miller; Chelsea Miller; Dawson Miller; Madison Abercrombie; Anna Abercrombie; Kiara Abercrombie; Peyton Abercrombie; Makayla Abercrombie; Hailey Abercrombie; Madelyn Abercrombie; Ansley Abercrombie; Merrida Abercrombie.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, November 25, 2017 in Banister Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
