Mr. Douglas Ronald Brown, age 69, was born in Lumpkin County on June 4, 1952 to the late Newell Hugh (Jimmy) Brown and Florene McDonald Brown.  Doug was an avid race fan and had a passion for cart racing with his children.  He was a retired certified welder and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Hugh Brown.

He is survived by son, Shannon Brown of Ellijay; daughter Kristina Brown of Ellijay; son Nathan Brown of Gainesville; brother Kenneth Brown; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; and nephew Matthew Brown.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Higdon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until service hour.
