Mr. Douglas "Doug" Charles Crumley, age 62, of Dahlonega, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017.

Doug was born in Hall County on December 5, 1954 to the late William Jess and Edith Gillespie Crumley. He has lived in Lumpkin County most of his life.  Doug was a 1973 graduate of Lumpkin County High School. He was self-employed as a landscaper.  Doug loved to play softball and he was fond of his baseball memorabilia.  He loved taking care of his three cats, "Pumpkin, Paint-Bucket, and The Cow".

Survivors include his daughter, Julie Crumley, Ellijay; sister, Marie Crumley, Dahlonega; brother, Edwin Crumley, Dahlonega; 2 grandchildren; 2 nieces, 1 great nephew, and 2 great nieces.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Monday, October 2, 2017 at Banister Funeral Home Chapel.  The Rev. Terry Head and Mr. Jeff Gooch will officiate.  Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 2-9 P.M. Saturday and 2-9 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
