Dwayne C. Whitt, a lifelong resident of Atlanta, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2026, following a sudden illness. Born November 4,1964 to Edward Lewis Whitt and Dot Eady Whitt

He dedicated 39 years of his life to the Respiratory Care Department at Northside Hospital, where his commitment and quiet excellence left a lasting mark on colleagues and patients alike.

Dwayne possessed a huge heart and a dedicated, loyal spirit. He loved his family beyond measure and will be remembered for the warmth, steadfastness, and generosity he brought to every relationship.

He is survived by:

Rina Sue Henderson (Dean) and great niece Miranda of Watkinsville, Georgia

Karan Stephens (Jerry) Danielle Stephens (Kari) Great Niece Parker and Kaycee Stephens (Eddie) Great Niece Annamarie Great Nephew Mateo of Lavernia, Texas

Vickie Harris (Garrett) and sons Garrett Harris Jr. (Natalie) Great Niece Hadley, Blake Harris, Colin Harris, and daughter Baylee Harris of Dahlonega, Georgia

And by many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by Edward Lewis Whitt and by Earl and Dot Sanford of Dahlonega, Georgia. Eward Cleon “Tippy” and Annie Mae Whitt of Atlanta Ga, Albert and Jackie Eady of Senoia Ga.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
