Mrs. EmmaLou "Pete" Perkins, age 72, of Dahlonega passed away Friday, June 2, 2023.

Mrs. Perkins was born in Marietta on May 25, 1951, to the late Russell and Lily Waters Sims. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Collin Stiles and her sister Elizabeth Smith.  The light of Pete's life was her grandchildren, especially her "Beemer Girl".

Survivors include her husband of forty-six years James Perkins, Dahlonega; children Angela Perkins Kelley (Johnny), Cleveland; James Perkins Jr., Kennesaw; Stan Perkins (Tammy), Canton; Chris Perkins, Winter Haven, FL; Libby Stiles, Murphy, NC; sister Claudia Jean Wahlstein; brother Russell Sims Jr; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A celebration of Mrs. Perkins' life will be held at a later date.
