Ernest Webster Jones, age 75, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Thursday November 10, 2016.

Ernest was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He worked in construction and was of the Baptist faith.

Ernest was the son of the late Clarence Jones and Monnie Dowdy Jones Caldwell and was also preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Jones.

Ernest is survived by sister-in-law, Shirley Jones; niece, Beth Sanford; and nephews, Gavin Jones and Marshall Jones. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Ernest are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday November 16, 2016 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Tuesday November 15, 2016 from 6 PM until 9 PM and again on Wednesday from 10 AM until service time.
