Obituary

Mrs. Eunice Hunnicutt Woody Moore, age 90, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022.

Mrs. Woody was born in North Carolina on June 21, 1932, to the late Rev. Joseph and Rosetta Free Hunnicutt. Mrs. Woody moved to Dial, Georgia, at age six and then to Dahlonega in 1955, where she would call "home" for her remaining 67 years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Claude Woody; husband of 7 years, Ralph W. Moore; and siblings, Cecil, Carl, Leroy and Grady Hunnicutt, Bonnie Woody, and Vinnie Moore.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janie (Roger) Ingram and Shirley (Ralph) Chastain; grandsons, Michael (Stephanie) Chastain, Brian (Becky) Davis, and Todd Davis; great grandchildren, Caleb Chastain, Braylen Chastain, Ryder King, Callie Chastain, Caroline Chastain, Kate Chastain, Damien Davis, Hunter Allen, Blake Davis, Cooper Davis, Kylie Johnson, and Maggie Davis; and sister, Betty (Harve) Grizzle. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Austin Houston officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery of Siloam Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial contribution to your church's missions fund in memory of Eunice.
