Evelyn McDonald, age 86, of Braselton, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

She was a lifetime member of Friendship Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her bible every day. Evelyn had a love for gardening, but her rose garden was her pride and joy.

Evelyn was the daughter of the late Elijah and Sarah Francis McClure Cantrell. She is also preceded death by her husband, Robert McDonald; son, Bobby McDonald; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Evelyn is survived by her son and daughter –in-law, Bill and Melissa McDonald, Braselton, GA; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Evelyn are scheduled for 11 AM Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 4 PM to 7 PM and again on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 10 AM until service time.
