"Forever our Fernie"

Fernando Jose Gutierrez, age 20, passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2026. Born on June 14, 2006 to Cristina Cordova, he leaves behind a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Known affectionately as Fernie by his mother, Fernando was her beloved only child, her pride and joy, and one of the greatest blessings of her life. She raised him on her own, giving him her love, strength, and devotion as she watched him grow. The bond they shared was immeasurable. She loved her precious son deeply, with an undying love that words can hardly describe.

Fernando loved spending time with his family, especially his cousins. He enjoyed car rides with his mama and Uncle Jorge, singing at the top of their lungs. He loved to crack a joke and a Kinder egg. His family will especially miss his heartfelt messages written on pizza boxes. Whether on the field as a Lumpkin Indian or in the stands as a fan, he was happiest with a game in front of him. He would often be heard proudly saying: "ARRIBA EL AMERICA".

Fernando's presence is unforgettable, bringing warmth and joy, and those who loved him will carry the memory of his smile forever. He will forever be remembered for his kind heart, his bright eyes, his beautiful smile, and the happiness he so often carried with him. He was deeply loved, and his life mattered more than words could ever express. Though his time here was heartbreakingly short, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain cherished by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Twenty years was not enough. There was still so much life for Fernando to live and so much love left to share. His passing leaves a void that can never truly be filled, but his memory will remain a precious gift.

Rest peacefully, sweet Fernie. You are loved beyond measure, you will be missed beyond words, and you will remain in your mother's heart forever.

Fernando's family will receive friends at Anderson Underwood Funeral Home on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm.

Mass service will be held at St Luke's Catholic Church in Dahlonega, GA, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 5:00 pm.
