Mrs. Frances Barrett, age 72, of Dahlonega, GA died Sunday, May 4, 2014 following an extended illness. Frances was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and a member of Philippi Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Elsie Dorsey Howard, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Leo Barrett; brothers, Joe and James Howard; and sisters, Lillie Bell Thomas and Libby Davis. Mrs. Barrett is survived by her son, Philip Stewart, Cleveland, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Jerry Mashburn, Gainesville, GA, Helen and Gary Robinson, Cleveland, GA; son and daughter-in-law, David and Donna Barrett, and son, Randy Barrett, Gainesville, GA; brother, Wayne Howard; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Andrea Howard; and sister, Lena Gaddis, all of Dahlonega, GA. 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive. A graveside service for Frances is scheduled for 5 PM Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jason Fuller will officiate. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 3 PM until 8 PM, and again on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 3 PM until service time.
