Freddy Adams Kahler, age 63, of Columbus, GA and formerly of Lumpkin County, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA. Freddy was born in Oroville, CA December 3, 1951 to the late Homer and Fannie Self Adams. Freddy had lived in Columbus, GA for the past 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Marty Tridico and Inez "Chubby" Dowdy; brothers, Barnell Adams, Earl Adams, Johnny Adams, and Jimmy Adams. Freddy is survived by her children, Wayne Jenkins and Shana Hitchcock, Columbus, GA, Roxanne Cruz-Rivera, Columbus, GA, and Francine Flores, Sierra Vista, AZ; sisters, Linda Roaden, Texas, Lee Bowshier, Urbana, OH, and Rose Morelli, Oregon; and brother, Eugene Adams, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael Bowen, Elizabeth Diaz, Jose Diaz Jr.,Izaac Diaz, Patrick Cruz-Rivera, Hailey Cruz-Rivrea, Carolyn Denise Murray, Anthony Wayne Lamb, Elijah Jenkins, Angelita Lamb, Devon Jenkins, and Jada Bowen. Numerous other relatives also survive, Funeral services for Freddy are scheduled for 4 PM Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA. Rev. John Dowdy will officiate. Interment will follow in the Old Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.
