Mrs. Geraldine Wood McClure, age 78, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega, GA. Mrs. McClure was a native and former resident of Adairsville, GA who had lived in Dahlonega for the past 45 years. She was a homemaker and was a member of Yahoola Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. She was the daughter of the late D.G. and Lucille Wood and was also preceded in death by an infant son, Dwight Alexander McClure. Geraldine is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul McClure; sons and daughters-in-law, Nathan and Peggy McClure, Mark and Lisa McClure, all of Dahlonega, GA; sister, Norma Jean Dell, Louisville, TN; grandchildren, Nathan and Abby McClure, Anna and Tony Miller, Sarah Grace McClure, Emily McClure, and Mary Catherine McClure. A number of other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. McClure are scheduled for 3 PM Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Yahoola Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Terry Head will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Sunday November 3, 2013 from 4 PM until 8 PM and again on Monday until time of the service.
