Mrs. Glenda Palmer, age 73, of Dahlonega, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

Glenda was born on February 22, 1953, to the late Robert and Hattie Reeves. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy was found in the people and simple things she loved most. Glenda enjoyed working with her flowers, caring for her beloved pets, and spending time with her family. But above all, her heart belonged to her grandson, Clint Waters.

Clint was a very special part of Glenda’s life, and the love they shared was one that could never be measured. His passing left an emptiness in her heart that she carried with her. Those who knew Glenda knew how deeply she loved her grandson and how often she thought of him. While her family grieves her passing, there is comfort in knowing that Glenda and Clint are together again. She has joined her beloved grandson in Heaven, where we can imagine their joyful reunion: a grandmother once again holding the grandson she loved so dearly. The two who were separated for a time are now together forever, never to be parted again.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her grandson, Clint Waters; her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Jewell Norrell; her sister, Joyce Head; her sister-in-law, Kim Palmer; and her brother-in-law, Johnny Rider.

Glenda leaves behind a family who will forever carry her love and memories in their hearts. She is survived by her husband, Eddie Palmer; her son and daughter-in-law, Delton and Regina Waters; her sister, Bonnie Rider; her brothers, Melvin Reeves and his wife, Joy, and Bobby Reeves; her brother-in-law, Charles Palmer; her sister-in-law, Vickie Paden Jefferson; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Though her family will deeply miss her, they can find peace in knowing that Glenda is no longer separated from Clint. The flowers she so lovingly tended on earth have been left behind, but her greatest joy has been restored. She is home in Heaven, reunited with her precious grandson, and the love between them continues beyond this life.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2026, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate. Interment will follow at Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
