Mrs. Glinda Ann Stancil, age 69, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023. She was born on June 28, 1953, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Tom and Gaynell Rider.

Glenda was a homemaker and a caregiver to her husband, Lamar, whom she loved with all her heart. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She will forever be missed by those who loved her so dearly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford "Lamar" Stancil; infant son Jessie Levi Stancil; brothers Henry Hoyt Rider, J.L. Rider, and Melvin Rider; sister Ruby Dispain; and step-daughter Cindi Stancil.

She is survived by her daughter, Audra (Kenny) Michael; granddaughter Beth Dix; step-granddaughter Alyssa Green-Michael; step-children Ricky (Kim) Stancil and Debbie (Ricky) Pitchford; brothers William Rider, Vernon Rider, Lynn Rider, and Charles Rider, sisters Marie Tomlin and Agnes LaPoint. Numerous friends and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Cavenders Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Stephen Adams and the Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate. Interment will be held following the funeral in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Glinda to Cavenders Creek Baptist Church or to the American Heart Association.
