December 16, 1939 – April 20, 2026
Gordon W. Harder, age 86, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on April 20, 2026. He was born on December 16, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Jesse Harder and the late Mabel Sprankle Harder. He was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Dahlonega. He was employed by McCormick Spices as a sales representative for many years.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Harder is preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Winnie Ann Sullivan.
Gordon is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 62 years, Judith Harder; children, Sherri Sullivan and Daniel (Jerilyn) Harder; grandchildren, Matthew (Shannon) Sullivan, Joshua Sullivan, Brighton Harder, Dolan Harder, Trey Ware, and Taylor (Julia) Ware. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. He leaves behind special friends, Deb and Pete Carpenter, and their family.
Gordon loved nothing more than spending time with his family, always putting them first. His grandchildren were his greatest joy, and he especially cherished talking sports with them. He enjoyed playing golf, working word searches, and spending time joy riding on his next adventure. Known for his sense of humor, Gordon had a gift for making others laugh and brought joy to those around him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of The Oaks and Pruitt Health for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Gordon during his time with them.
