Greg "GT" Turner, age 65, of Suches, GA and formerly of San Francisco, CA passed away Monday, August 18, 2014. Greg had lived in Suches, GA for over 15 years. A native of California, Greg was raised in the San Francisco Bay area. As a youth, Greg was an Eagle Scout and had a love of the outdoors and nature. He attended College of San Mateo where he majored in electronics and was at the top of his class in this field. He continued his undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University. Greg worked in the electronics field throughout his career in the San Francisco area. Greg loved to fly and was licensed as a private pilot. Greg's love of motorcycles was present throughout his entire life. For many years, he regularly participated in off road style riding. In the late 1990's, GT moved to Suches where he took over ownership and began managing TWO - Two Wheels Only Motorcycle Resort. GT successfully ran TWO for 15 years and, through TWO participated in many community events and raised money for local entities in the Suches area. GT also loved to cook. TWO allowed him to share his love of cooking with friends and family. GT is survived by his wife of 18 years, Britt; sisters Susan Turner and Cindy DelCorto; aunt Orline Ellison and cousins Gary and Bryan Ellison. A Celebration of Life service will be held for GT at 2 PM Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.
