Hannelore "Lore" Anneliese Christian was born on June 8th, 1940, in Stuttgart, Germany and was a lifelong resident of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on July 18th, 2024, at the age of 84 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, Georgia.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Almond Lee Christian II, parents Karl Friedrich and Anneliese Wahl, grandson Bryan Simmons and numerous family members and friends.

Lore was a devoted wife, mother, Aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Bennetti of Loganville, Georgia, daughter Lynne Simmons of Colbert, Georgia, son Almond Lee Christian III and daughter in law Sally Christian of Loganville, Georgia, son Kenneth Christian and daughter in law Gail Christian of Dahlonega, Georgia and numerous Grandchildren, Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and in laws.

Lore's dedication to family and friends will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to be a part of her life.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2024, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The rev. Charles Grant will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the service hour.
